The Civil Rights Movement was a powerful moment in history for our country. In the midst of mass protests and sit-ins, Mexican American folk singer Joan Baez showed support by lending her music to the movement. Most notably, she performed “We Shall Overcome” at the historic 1963 March on Washington.
